God’s kingdom is not of this world, yet we are called to seek it first before everything else.

This week, we open by reading Matthew 6:9-13 from the Amplified Bible.

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.”
- John 18:36 NASB

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
- Matthew 6:33 ESV

Once we discover this kingdom, entering is impossible unless we repent and be born again.

From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
- Matt 4:17 NASB

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
- John 3:5-7 NASB
