Satya Doyle Byock — a psychotherapist, writer, and the Director of the Salome Institute of Jungian Studies. Satya is the author of “Quarterlife: The Search for Self in Early Adulthood,” a book which argues that quarter life is a key developmental stage in its own right that we need to honour — both individually and collectively. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, NPR, and the Guardian. In this conversation, we explore: — How Jungian psychology can help us to navigate the key developmental periods in our lives — The 4 stages of growth and the need to separate from parental influences to find our own path — The difference between meaning types and stability types and why understanding this is the key to a healthy and productive life — Satya’s stick figure exercise which she uses to help clients find clarity on life’s big decisions. And more.
