You might feel that putting yourself first goes against what you've been taught as a Believer. However, to fulfill our purpose and cause, we need to take a step back and assess ourselves. This includes giving a personal audit of our behavior and moods. If you believe and follow Christ, you know that He will replenish you and give you rest. It's important to understand that putting yourself first doesn't mean being selfish. In order to help others, we must take care of ourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually.
