The contributions of three Indian-origin women – Mala Mehta OAM, Melissa Monteiro, and the young Arohi Bansal – have been recognised by the NSW government. Mala Mehta OAM has dedicated over four decades to serving the Hindi language, while Melissa Monteiro has actively served the refugee and migrant community for 25 years in Australia.
