The Red Sox got back in the win column with a 12-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles in the series opener Monday night at Fenway Park. The Sox hit 4 Home Runs in their 73rd win of the season. Brayan Bello worked into the 6th and picked up his team-best 13th win. Sox are 3-1 on their current 6-Game Homestand.

Bello's Night on the Bump: Brayan Bello made the start against the Orioles in the opener against the Orioles. Bello gave up a run in the 1st Inning and was able to limit the damage. Anthony Santander knocked in the game's 1st run with an RBI single. Bello walked Adley Rutschman to load up the bases with 1 out and he came back and struck out the next 2 hitters to leave the bases loaded. Bello ran into trouble in the Top of the 4th by walking 2 hitters and hitting a batter. He issued his 3rd walk of the Inning to Santander and that brought in a run. Bello left the bases loaded for the 2nd time on the night by getting the final out on a fly out. Bello retired the leadoff hitter in the 6th and was lifted from the game. He exited with a 4-2 lead.

Quick Response: Sox came right back and evened the game at 1-1 in the home 1st Inning against Orioles starter, Cade Povich. Rafael Devers singled and went 1st to 3rd on a Double from Rob Refsnyder. Tyler O'Neill brought in Devers from 3rd with an RBI groundout. Refsnyder was left in scoring position.

Back-to-Back Bombs: Sox went in front against Povich and the Orioles on the Bottom of the 3rd Inning. Rob Refsnyder hit a 2-run Home Run and Tyler O'Neill followed with a solo Home Run.

Adding On: Sox sent 9 hitters to the plate in the 6th Inning and came away with 4 runs. Ceddanne Rafaela came through with a 2-run single with the bases loaded and 3 hitters later it was Rob Refsnyder knocking in 2 more runs with a 2-run single again with the bases full. Rafaela knocked in 2 more runs with a Double in the 7th to make it a 10-3 ballgame. Refsnyder and O'Neill went back-to-back in the 8th Inning. Refsnyder went 4-for-4 with a Double, 2 Home Runs, a Single, a Walk & 5 RBIs. It's the 9th time this season with the Sox going Back-to-Back with Home Runs (1st time where they did it twice in 1 Game) and the 6th time that O'Neill has been involved.

Out of the Pen: Brennan Bernardino was the 1st out of the Red Sox pen Monday night. He gave up a pinch-hit Double, retired Gunnar Henderson on a Fly-Out and got Austin Slater on a ground out to leave a runner at 2nd-Base. Josh Winckowski gave up a solo Home Run to Santander to leadoff the 7th to make it 7-3 and ended up leaving 2 runners stranded. Winckoski worked a 1-2-3 8th and did the same in the 9th to close the door on the Orioles.
