Episode 118: Prudish Fathers and Waterpark Changing Areas

Prudism just keeps growing...

I've ranted more than once on things like men's locker rooms, etc., but the prudism takes it up a notch right up into the locker rooms at water parks.

The one thing I've learned in life is that some men are very open and secure with their bodies and others are not. Some fathers either insecure with the male body and others are very secure, and this is what they teach their kids - some teach their sons to be insecure and some teach them to be secure and acceptable,

The Penis seems to be a very scary thing for some fathers - whether it's regarding their penis being visible or their son's penis being visible. And again, their fear is dragged right into changing areas and locker rooms

Society teaches boys to be ashamed of their bodies around others, and that they have this invisible "personal space", even in a locker room. We teach them that everyone in the locker room, including boys their age, is trying to sneak a peak at them in their underwear or their ass or their genitals. We teach our boys that even their classmates can be potential pee-pee toucher wannabees in the locker room.
