Immigrant and migrant rights:
- Movimiento Cosecha
- Stimulus fund -- if you want to donate part of your stimulus so undocumented folks (who are not eligible to receive a stimulus) can receive much needed economic relief too.
- RAICES
- Texas based refugee advocacy group that provide legal services and social services to migrant communities along the border
- Colibri Center for Human Rights
- Colibri works with the families of disappeared migrants to find the truth and provide justice through forensic science, investigation and community organizing -- this one is gut wrenching y'all but they do such important work
- No More Deaths, No Más Muertes
- Great org to stay up to date with information regarding undocumented folks at the southern border. Their name says it all in terms of their mission, their work aims to provide direct aid to folks crossing the border, witnessing and responding to situations at the border, consciousness raising, global movement building and encouraging humane immigration policy.
- South Texas Human Rights Center
- This org does INCREDIBLE work, they do search and rescue for missing migrants, leave water stations for folks walking through the desert towards the border, and help with forensic identification of migrants that we have lost on the journey.
- Deeper than Water
- LOVE this org, have done volunteering with them in the past, they are more based here in MA in case there are any folks in this area that tune in and want to know how they can show up for incarcerated folks here. They always have important actions folks can take a part in. The description for their work is "is a coalition of organizations dedicated to exposing the rampant human rights abuses that prisoners in the United States are subjected to, using the lens of water justice as an entry point."
