Author Eugene "Pete" Wolfe discusses his latest book, "Boris Johnson in 100 Facts discusses the parallels between Boris Johnson and Donald Trump, which are pretty interesting. He also talks about the comparison between Johnson and Gorbachev, de Klerk and Ozawa, the leaders he looked at in his dissertation on the tactics of political reform. In addition he discusses the reform in the Soviet Union, South Africa and Japan in more detail. Specifically, he shares insights about the failure of previous reformers in each of the three countries that created the impression that political change was not possible.
