Gauteng community up in arms following shooting of 13-year-old boy, allegedly at the hands of a Kagiso police officer

Community members in Soul City informal settlement, in Kagiso, west of Johannesburg are claiming that a nine year old boy is in hospital, after being shot by police from the Kagiso police station. According to residents in the area the police officers entered the informal settlement on Saturday and began looting spaza shops, and when questioned their actions an altercation began between community members and the police. During that incident, police allegedly fired live ammunition and an astray bullet hit the 9 year old boy. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to SABC reporter, Pearl Magubane
