On this week’s episode of True Crime New England, Katie and Liz discuss the horrifying details of the murder of young mom Karen Clarke and her 8-year-old son, Leroy “BJ” Brown Jr. In 1997, BJ was in the car with his mom’s boyfriend in Bridgeport, Connecticut when shots were fired in an attempt to kill the boyfriend. BJ was unharmed, but turned out to be a really reliable witness. When the perpetrator discovered the identity of the boy who ratted him out, he finished the job of his first attempt, and then made moves to eliminate the star witness of his trial and ended up killing his mother too.
