Episode 022 - Mike Thomas
Manage episode 435260364 series 3566138
This week, I speak with my old friend Mike Thomas about his lifelong love of music and specifically live music. Mike was into all kinds of music as a kid, before taking a deep dive into the New York City hardcore music scene in the early ‘90’s. His insights and experiences, along with some incredible photos, help bring this underground scene into the light, and alone make this episode a can’t miss.
From there, we discuss the transformative power of music scenes in opening minds, sharing stories about the acceptance and life lessons learned from diverse music communities. Covering territory from Phish to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, from CBGB to Red Rocks Amphitheater, our conversation with Mike explores a lot of musical ground and a ton of thoughtful observations about the power of music to influence our lives. All this week on The Rock-N-Roll Show Podcast!
