Ep. 32. Soft Power: how your sensitivity is your super power and how it is not.
Manage episode 444168056 series 2797144
In our culture, especially in business, we often perceive sensitivity as a weakness rather than a source of power. There's a common belief that sensitive individuals are somehow weaker and need protection.
My journey with sensitivity was painful. I first disowned it, then reclaimed it as my superpower. Like many conditioned beliefs, I realized that when I embraced and embodied my sensitivity as a gift, it revealed talents I hadn't accessed before. This process led me to deeper self-liberation, more embodied, stronger sense of power and self leadership.
I believe sensitivity is the key ingredient—the gateway, tool, and antenna—for soft power leadership.
But to clarify, there are two types of sensitivity:
- Hypervigilant sensitivity
This stems from deep feelings of unsafety, dysregulation, disempowerment, and fear. It focuses solely on self-protection because the safety of self-connection is lost.
- Extrasensory sensitivity
This arises from a deeper embodiment and connection with yourself, your divinity, your humanity, your emotions, and a gentleness towards your heart. This type of sensitivity fosters resilience, respect, rootedness, groundedness, and empowered self-leadership. It comes from a place of softness and gentleness towards yourself, your truth, and your sensitivity. It also allows you to connect to an expanded reality.
In this episode, I invite you to deepen, review, and rewire your relationship with your sensitivity because I think your sensitivity is your greatest gift—a portal to embody greater potential, a bigger version of yourself, a more multidimensional you, and access to a fuller life!
