Rachel Bernier-Green is the owner of Laine’s Bake Shop, a family operated artisan baking company located on Chicago’s south side. Where many companies are just starting the transition to a business model of Conscious Capitalism, Rachel’s company was founded on these principles. Rachel talks about the importance of "lifting as we climb," and building our work around causes that matter. Tom learns how he could have built his math skills by baking brownies. Rachel shares her personal journey, starting out as a somewhat reluctant entrepreneur and becoming someone who is actively revitalizing urban communities through thoughtful partnerships, constant courageous learning and cookies for a cause.
