There is no gold medal for being a mom - no competition. Each of us gets to collaborate with the gifts we have been given, forgive those that hurt us, and make the most out of the opportunity we have to pass the best we can on to the next generation and do our own healing work. In the end, we are competing with our own ideals of perfectionism around mommyhood.
