You Have Spiritual Gifts: Discover And Use them Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12, 14; Ephesians 4:7-14 October 1, 2023 Session 3 Review: Spiritual Gifts are God-given special ability to serve the Lord and His Body. Given by Grace (Romans 12:6) Every believer has at least one (1 Corinthians 12:7; 1 Corinthians 14:1) Spiritual Gifts are to be desired (1 Corinthians 14:1) Believers are to discover and use gifts (Romans 12:6) “Motivation” Gifts (Spiritual wiring) (Romans 12:3-8) Manifestation Gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12; 1 Corinthians 14) The word of knowledge: The special ability to receive information from the Spirit of God which does not originate from the natural human sources. This gift operates for God’s purposes. The word of wisdom: the special ability to see issues and circumstances from God’s perspective and the skill to apply that Spirit-given perspective in life situations. Faith: The special, Holy Spirit granted ability to hear God’s voice, believe it, and act on it without initial, visual evidence. (1Corinthians 12:9) Each believer has “a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3) Faith comes by hearing God’s word (Romans 10:17) Faith is developed by use (Luke 17:5,6; Mark 11:22-24) Faith pleases God, affects all of life, is the platform for God’s mighty works! Is essential for relationship with God (Hebrews 11:6; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11) Gifts of healings: the special ability of Grace, by the Holy Spirit, to participate in God’s healing ministry. (This gift may or may not incorporate natural and medical resources) (Natural, medical resources are limited, God is not limited!) (1 Corinthians 12:9) (Medical science is a gift of God) Working of miracles: the special ability to cooperate with the Spirit of God to accomplish acts which are beyond natural explanation and which give glory to God!
