In this episode, we begin the discussion of how sports athletic participation is impacting local and global communities. We review how there’s been an increase on the need for youth to specialize in one sport in order to continue their career. This myopic view has significantly impacted general use participation here in Sonoma County. We also discuss how adult behavior in youth sports is negatively impacting the experience for young athletes.
