Pioneers of Country Live!

Leap Year, and specifically Leap Day, February 29th. During our almost 20 year broadcast run, we were live one time on Leap Day. The date was February 29, 2004. It was very early in our history – before our country music format, however don't worry as we always included real country music pioneers in our broadcasts. So sit back, and listen to a broadcast from 20 years ago! I hope you enjoy. "I Wanna Be Loved by You" is a song performed by Marilyn Monroe. Next is Up a Lazy River - The Mills Brothers. The third song is a Pioneer of Country and Country Music Hall of Fame Member, Willie Nelson doing a classic country song, Mountain Dew! Followed by a political endorsement for Dennis Kucinich for President! A polka is next up on tap - Marion Lush, “Hey Hey Cavalier” Polka. Dave does some Howard Stern bashing! He's still on the air (Satellite) as of 2024! Dave mentions the famous wardrobe malfunction with Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake at the football Superbowl. That's the first 30 minutes of a 2 hour and 9 minute Leap Day broadcast. There's a lot more fun to come. We hope you enjoy the remainder of the broadcast.
