League of Wildness,

We're back with @wilddanvinson and @kimbreimeier.

This recording is from a weekly Packmeet in our wild gym League of Wildness private Facebook group. Much of the discussion was inspired by Kelly and Juliet Starrett's new book Built to Move. There are a ton of parallels to what we talk about at wild gym and we really appreciate and respect Kelly's no B.S. approach to health and fitness. We also love the live comments from the LoW during our discussion - keep em' coming.

In this episode:

  • When did health/fitness become something you had to consciously think about and plan?
  • How much of our modern ailments would be solved by spending more time outside?
  • Why do we have to do so much to counteract the human zoo we've created? Why do we need books, app, websites, coaches, etc to tell us to do things that would be more or less 'natural' if we didn't live in a man-made environment?
  • How to reconcile the benefits of modernity with living in a way that doesn't require special programs to fix all the consequences of desk work.
  • What single health/fitness practice has had the biggest impact in the past year?
  • How does the idea that going outside is a somewhat profound solution to many modern ailments strike you? Can it really be that simple?
  • ...and much more!

If you have questions, comments, or a potential guest suggestion please send a note to info@wildgym.com or send us a DM to @wildgymco on Instagram. Let's keep the conversation going.

Thanks for tuning in and if you are enjoying the episodes we would be eternally grateful if you could leave a 5-star review. It helps to grow the show and spread the good word of the Wild. Thank you.

Much love!

-Wildman Dan
