I’m a professor of sociolinguistics. But I haven’t always been a professor. I’ve hitchhiked all over the country; I’ve been homeless; I've run with gangs; I've been broke down a few times; and I've even spent a few nights in jail. This podcast is a way for me to engage in conversations with the people who impact me most. They include family members, friends, homies, and scholars.
