Prof. Orús obtained his PhD from the University of Barcelona, followed by postdocs at the University of Queensland and the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics (Garching), followed by several visiting professorships and a Junior Professor position at the Johannes-Gutenberg Universität Mainz.
