The debut episode of Season 2 is all about the wonderful wonder known as the Windmill Press. Manufactured by the German company Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, the Original Heidelberg, as its formally named, is a masterpiece of engineering. Its nickname stems from the articulating gripper arm that captures the paper in the feed tray, moves it to the press, and then to the delivery tray all in a swift, windmill-like rotation. The introduction of this component, as well as many other automated features, allowed print shops to increase their output significantly and collectively they are the reason these presses are still considered the "workhorse" of print ships operating today.
