Jesus warns that sometimes even doing things that appear to be the stuff of God can be misguided and disobedient (Matthew 7:21-23). Trying to work out what it means to be a branch and working hard to become a branch is very different from remaining in the vine. This week, Andrew Mayne reminds us that true obedience – the kind of obedience that Jesus is looking for – begins and ends in love.
