Danny Vitiello is a professional goalkeeper for Sacramento Republic FC in the USL Championship, the 2nd tier of US soccer. Danny played at the university of Albany before signing with at the time USL Championship side Nashville SC. After spending his first professional season adjusting to the pro game, Danny signed for Pittsburgh Riverhounds where he was awarded USL Championship’s Golden Glove. He has since signed for Sacramento Republic FC where he played a huge part in their historic 2022 US Open Cup run, making it all the way to the final, beating 3 MLS teams in the process. Danny shares insight into his underdog mentality, hearing doubt from coaches but still knowing his worth, being a leader from the back, consistently learning and working hard, and many tips for young aspiring goalkeepers.
