Fatherless by Suicide is a collaborative storytelling project by and for sons whose fathers died by suicide.

This episode features Franklin James Cook, who is a professional grief coach and facilitator of bereavement groups for people who've lost a loved one to suicide. We met in his living room, surrounded by full, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, just outside of Boston. He was generous with his time and full of insights that helped me rethink how I understood my father's illness, pain, and death. The photo is of Franklin's hand with his father's wedding ring on it.
