Michael Peter Blatty, the eldest son of William Peter Blatty, shares a deep connection with his father's work. He obtained his English Literature degree from Georgetown University, just like his father. Michael was a dedicated supporter of his father during the creation of "The Exorcist," and he was the first to read the finished novel. In 1972, while studying at Georgetown University, he joined his father on the set of the film adaptation. He even made a brief appearance as a student protester in the early scenes.
