The Who at 60 with Special Guest Matt Saxton (EP75)
Manage episode 453130097 series 3318583
Formed in 1964, The Who's original lineup has been hailed as one of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century. Their seminal albums - Tommy (1969), Who's Next (1971), and Quadrophenia (1973) - cemented their status as rock 'n' roll legends. The band's drummer, Keith Moon (23 August 2046 - 7 September 1978), is often celebrated as the greatest drummer in rock history, with his dynamic drumming still earning acclaim from critics and fellow musicians.
In this episode, UK recording artist and friend of the podcast, Matt Saxton, joins Team Derringer to share his top five favorite songs by the band. Matt, a self-proclaimed super-fan of The Who, brings his enthusiasm for The Who's music to what promises to be an exciting countdown.
Besides his talent as a recording artist, Matt has also captivated audiences as a guest host, contributing to two episodes of the Team Derringer podcast. His dynamic presence adds a unique flair to the show, making each episode a must-listen event.
