Today's Devotional:

Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible. I’m Hunter Barnes, and today’s readings offer us a deep reminder about what it means to live in reverence and truth before God.

Psalm 128 speaks of the blessings that come from walking in the ways of the Lord. It’s a picture of a flourishing life, rooted in awe and reverence for God. There’s joy in the work of our hands and peace in our homes when we live with this kind of humility.

Ecclesiastes 5 takes us deeper into that idea of reverence. The Teacher warns us not to rush into making empty promises or approaching God carelessly. Life is fragile, full of toil and fleeting moments, but when we live in awe of God, we find meaning and peace even in the midst of our labor. The wisdom here calls us to speak less and listen more, to be mindful of God’s presence in every step we take.

Then, in John 8, Jesus confronts the religious leaders, revealing the truth that sets us free. “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free,” He says. This truth isn’t just about head knowledge—it’s about a life transformed by walking in God’s ways.

So, today, as we go about our work and interact with others, let’s remember to live in reverence, walk in truth, and be mindful of God’s presence. It’s in this space where true freedom and blessing are found.
