Huge Matchmaking Changes Coming to Overwatch:
- Blizzard is planning on introducing a new “Role Queue” feature into their matchmaking system
- For game modes that have you choosing your hero, you will now have to pick your roles within the game before heading into a match
- Each team will be locked to 2 heros per role. That means each team whether in competitive or casual must have 2 tanks, 2 dps, and 2 healers
- People can begin testing the system soon in the PTR (public test region)
- This is to combat player hostility between players for lack of playing the proper role
