“Things happened so fast, I don’t know what to think about the combinations that were working for me in the first round,” said first-time bare knuckle brawler, Drako Rodriguez. As a good friend of Carlos Trinidad, Rodriguez wanted to share the Bareknuckle experience, and used his previous skills as an MMA fighter and boxer to outlast his opponent in a tough three round “punch-fest.”

“I learned a lot, it was a good experience, especially fighting with no gloves, it was a really big thing for me.”

Next time in the squared circle, Rodriguez says, “I’m going to listen to my coach and keep my eyes open and chin down and follow the fundamental rules and to not be too hungry for the knockout because that’s when you get dropped yourself.”
