Voters were warned that Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation in the fall of 2020, just before the November election, and there was certainly disinformation being disseminated to the American people in those final weeks of the campaign, but it wasn't coming from Russia. It was actually coming from the American intelligence community and those blaming Russia for the laptop. It was an American intelligence operation of disinformation, much like the operation that American intelligence officials pulled off in the 2016 election.
