A disc extrusion at L3-L4 compressed a nerve and literally made it so I couldn’t stand, walk, or sleep without pain. I went from top-tier Ironman athlete—training 15 to 20 hours a week—to someone who couldn’t even put on socks without pain shooting down my leg. And I want to be honest—it was humbling. It shook me. But in that experience, I found a deeper level of discipline, resilience, and focus than I’ve ever tapped into before. And that’s what I want to talk about today.
