A Moment with a Muse: Making Time
Manage episode 306582191 series 2850556
Giving yourself permission to make time for your creativity can have a bigger impact on who you are than you might have been thinking.
Consider that if you’re listening to this, creativity is a value of yours. There’s something beyond the intellect that’s calling you to engage in this love affair with the present moment – it’s instinctual and validating. Engaging in creativity in a conscious liberated way without the pressure to be perfect makes you a more secure and confident person. Why wouldn’t you make time for that? Even if it’s just five minutes. Or asking yourself a question about your next step while you’re driving or showering without a need for an immediate answer. Enticing curiosity is a valid part of the creative process and leads us to being more inspired to take the next step.
When you honor this value by spending time with it, your core strengthens and you’re more likely to develop into a resilient, patient, resourceful person – because creativity calls upon those qualities and that resilience, patience, and resourcefulness – WILL start to show up in other areas of your life. As a stronger individual you will be more present, tolerant, and beneficial to those around you.. Give yourself permission to be a better person by making time for your creativity.
