The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (12/02/2024): 3:05pm- In a statement released on Sunday, President Joe Biden announced his decision to pardon his son Hunter Biden of any offenses “which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in” dating back to 2014. Earlier this year, the younger Biden had been convicted of federal gun and tax evasion charges. A sentencing hearing had been scheduled for later this month. In his statement, President Biden justified his decision by claiming the Department of Justice treated his son “differently” and that he had been “singled out.” President Biden had previously said—on multiple occasions—that he would not pardon his son. 3:30pm- President Joe Biden’s pardon clears Hunter Biden of any crimes “he has committed or may have committed or taken part in” dating back to 2014—which is precisely when Hunter began working for the Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Republicans have claimed that President Biden directly benefited financially from his son’s affiliation with the company. 3:40pm- Despite the pardon, Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-SD)—who will serve as Senate Majority leader beginning in January—announced that the U.S. Senate will continue to investigate potential corruption involving Hunter Biden and the Biden family. 3:50pm- While speaking with the press aboard Air Force One, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre revealed that President Joe Biden wouldn’t have pardoned his son Hunter if Kamala Harris had won the 2024 presidential election. 4:05pm- Listeners call into the show with their reactions to news that President Joe Biden has pardoned his son Hunter. 4:10pm- While appearing on Fox News, IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley said he was not surprised President Joe Biden chose to pardon his son. 4:20pm- In a statement posted to Truth Social, president-elect Donald Trump wrote: “Everybody is talking about the hostages who are being held so violently, inhumanely, and against the will of the entire World, in the Middle East—But it’s all talk, and no action! Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity. Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied History of the United States of America. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!” 4:30pm- John Yoo—Emanuel S. Heller Professor of Law at University of California at Berkeley & a Visiting Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss President Joe Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter Biden, joking “he’s still pardoning turkeys AFTER Thanksgiving.” 4:50pm- Hunter Biden’s pardon states: “Offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024, including but not limited to all offenses charged or prosecuted.” However, it was issued at around 8pm on December 1st. So, did that mean Hunter could have committed any federal crime he wanted with immunity until 11:59pm on Dec. 1st? Did Hunter miss a golden opportunity to run wild without legal repercussions for 4-hours? 5:00pm- While appearing on CNN, Congressman Dan Goldman (D-NY) was awkwardly confronted with an old clip of himself stating that Joe Biden would never use his power as president to pardon a family member. 5:30pm- Donald Trump announced he has nominated Kash Patel to serve as the 9th Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). In a piece largely criticizing Patel’s nomination, even The Wall Street Journal concedes he has “worked as a federal prosecutor and served in several senior national-security roles, experiences not uncommon in the background of an FBI director.” So, if he is qualified, why are Democrats and mainstr ...
