Meet & Connect with Christine
I have worked with children in ministry leading/developing/facilitating on a broad range of levels: from my 2 months in Haiti where I taught 5thand 6th grade as a lead teacher and worked with infants at the Malnutrition Medika Mamba Clinic, to my 4 months in Brazil learning Portuguese fluently while doing ministry daily at the local Youth With A Mission (Y.W.A.M) Orphanage Home, to my 6 month internship in Uganda, Africa with Rural Orphans and Widows Aids Network (ROWAN), where I developed programs to bring sponsorships in for children in the local village school of Mawanga, to my staff position as Resident Assistant in Mozambique, Africa where I did soccer ministry with the orphan girls as well as developed and facilitated the first Missions School for international children and then followed as the lead teacher for 3rd grade Bible and Portuguese at the local village school there in Pemba, Mozambique, to my time as a head Camp Counselor at Siskey YMCA in North Carolina, to my comprehensive children’s ministry teacher volunteer work at Mountain View Chapel in Pennsylvania, Elevation Church in North Carolina, and Faith Mountain in Colorado, my Preschool Teaching position with TNL-The Sacred Grace Church in Colorado and most recently as the Children's Director at a local church, King of Glory, in Tempe, Arizona.
My emphasis, certificate, and degrees from Colorado Christian University of Elementary Education, Biblical Studies, Communications, and an Organizational Leadership Masters encompasses some of my schooling. I also graduated from Harvest Missions School in Mozambique, Africa, John Casablancas Modeling and Acting Career Centers, as well as getting my AFAA certification as a group fitness instructor.
I am humbled to call myself a wife and a mother. For fun I like to hike, dance, run, workout, play, swim, do yoga/barre, and am always up for something fun outdoors such as rock climbing, camping, fishing, skiing, white water rafting, caving, or biking. Last but not least, I love Jesus with my whole heart.
I am absolutely honored and privileged to be the Pastor of Children’s Ministry at the Grove. This is truly a dream job for me as working with children and teaching them about the love God has for them, their identities in Christ, and how to passionately pursue Him at any age literally brings me to life. Preaching my first sermons, officiating a funeral, baptizing and dedicating children have been a a joy. To be able to do so at a church with such a beautiful focus on justice, missions, and global development is such an incredible honor.
