Chris and Amanda were recently engaged. Amanda's parents are very anti "big wedding" and have offered them $50k to put towards a down payment on a house if they skipped the big wedding and just elope. Amanda is for it, she didn't want to have a big party anyway, and they don't have the money for it. Chris is hesitant because he feels his parents will be upset and it feels too untraditional.
