Charles the Great, was the King of the Franks who conquered the Visigoths, and the Lombards, and after seizing as much power in Western Europe as possible, the Pope crowned him as the Emperor of the Romans in the West. He was the first Roman Emperor in the West in over 300 years.

The History of Modern Greece covers the events of the Greek People from the fall of Constantinople in 1453 to the Greek War of Independence in 1821-1832, all the way through to the Greco-Turkish War from 1919 to 1922.
