Psalm 2 is a powerful statement of God’s authority over all nations. The psalm describes a rebellion against God by earthly rulers, who seek to break free from his control. However, God laughs at their arrogance and declares his son, the Messiah, as the rightful king, destined to rule over all the earth. The psalm concludes with a warning to all rulers to serve the Lord with fear and reverence, for his wrath is swift and terrible.
