Nikita Sonavane is a Dalit feminist and lawyer focusing on criminal laws. She is the co-founder of the Criminal Justice and Police Accountability Project (CPAProject) a Bhopal based litigation and research intervention focused on building accountability against the criminalisation of Vimkuta jatis by the Police and the criminal justice system.
Nikita has a BA in Political Science from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, LLB from Government Law College, Mumbai and LLM from Azim Premji University, Bangalore.
