Bio: Cody Peterson is a recovering alcoholic/drug-addict with over eleven years clean and sober. He has been fascinated by spirituality and religion since adolescence, although he struggled to maintain a spiritual connection, spending many years trying to get clean and sober. Finally, after a six-month stint in prison and a period of homelessness in Las Vegas, Nevada, Cody sobered up for good in 2013. In addition to practicing the Twelve Steps, Cody has rekindled his love of academic literature regarding spirituality and religion, and in 2019 he was led to the writings of C.G. Jung. Resonating deeply with the seminal ideas espoused by the Swiss psychiatrist, Cody felt his own calling to start writing soon thereafter. Today he takes his daily spiritual practice very seriously, believing that his recovery (and his life) depends on it, with his own version of prayer and meditation having evolved over the last thirty years to now include highlighting books and sharing his insights through his writings—the central feature of his day-to-day routine. Cody also feels an urgent need to give back by “carrying the message” to newcomers to the Twelve Steps through volunteering at any number of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers and detox-facilities every chance he can. cityseamless.com cityseamlessroofing.com cityseamlesspatiocovers.com…

Dr. Lesk has been a practicing, board-certified psychiatrist since 1984, treating thousands of adult patients while researching, writing articles and mentoring students. He served as chairman of psychiatry at a large VA hospital in New York and assistant professor at the affiliated medical school. He is pioneering new theories in hopes of improving our understanding of the illnesses patients endure and reducing stigma while surging empathy. This book is a result of those efforts. ABOUT DYLAN At just 15, Dylan Rhys is already making waves as a standout in the next generation of Texas musicians. Embracing his musical passion from an early age, Dylan picked up guitar at nine, seamlessly integrating vocals shortly thereafter. It was during the early days of COVID-19 quarantine that he created his first stage by streaming his “Corona Concert Series: Live from the Driveway” for family and friends. In the summer of 2022, Dylan entered a months-long open mic competition hosted by Dosey Doe in The Woodlands, Texas, winning first place out of over 80 contestants spanning a wide range of ages and genres. Opportunities to perform at local venues quickly followed, and he can now be found sharing his original music and a deep list of country covers throughout Central and Southeast Texas. Influenced by the likes of Shane Smith and the Saints, Flatland Cavalry and Turnpike Troubadours, and developing a sound similar to Dylan Gossett, Sam Barber and Wyatt Flores, Dylan strives to portray authenticity in his lyrics and sound. His youthful approach to songwriting and confident, charismatic stage presence have provided him the opportunity to open for national touring artists Jon Stork, Jesse Daniel, Matt Castillo, and Bailey Rae, and to share the stage in renowned venues such as Dosey Doe – The Big Barn and The Kenney Store. Currently in his freshman year, Dylan balances his music pursuits with a full course load of classes, is a lefty pitcher on the baseball team, and plays the double bass in his school’s orchestra. In his free time, he enjoys being a kid, soaking up life experiences to turn into future songs. Look out for his first single debuting soon! Dylan website…
