The Bible states, "...for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water..." (Isaiah 35:6-7). Throughout the world, people are crying out as they thirst for spiritual nourishment. The only way this spiritual need can be fulfilled is through the hearing of the nourishing Word of God.

In the summer of 2000, God gave Anne Hibbert and Ruth Lockyer a unique vision to organise a regular event for women, particularly emphasising The Father’s Love. Streams in the Desert is the result - events for women who want to meet with God and find encouragement and spiritual refreshment. ‘The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
