Effective communication is arguably the most critical skill a leader should have. Communication is so intertwined with leadership that it can make or break companies. Anyone who sees themselves leading a team or an organisation in the future needs to study the arts of communication.
In this episode, Mihir Mankad talks about adaptive leadership, which is knowing what to say, how much to say and when to say it. We discuss everything from the role communication will play in the legal battle between Elon Musk and Twitter to how to motivate a team like Liverpool when they’re losing the Champions League final. Learn how to humanise the camera when giving online interviews, the role of storytelling in becoming an effective communicator and much more.
Mr Mihir Mankad is an award-winning professor who has taught leadership communication courses at Tufts and Harvard. His flagship course, The Arts of Communication, was the highest enrolled electives at the Fletcher School. He has been a national television news anchor and has authored two books on communication.
